It was a Nazi run Potemkin ghetto village called Theriesenstadt in occupied Czech Republic. It was used to showcase to neutral observers like Sweden and Switzerland that the Nazis were treating the Jews well and humanely. However, sometimes the brutality and systemic depravity of the Nazi system shone through the mask of Theriesenstadt. The work of propaganda of the CCP's genocide of the Uyghers in Xinjiang is like Theriesenstadt, but on a much, much bigger scale. To cover up their genocide of the Uyghers in Xinjiang, the CCP frantically pump out beautifying propaganda to mask their brutality and depravity there. Occasionally, just like secret photos of Jews being herded like cattle onto trains out of Theriesenstadt bound for extermination in the gas chambers of Auschwitz, the CCP slips up or is exposed, such as a photo of a prison yard full of manacled and blindfolded Uygher men. You can't beautify or cover up an ugly truth all of the time. Soon the mask will slip.
