  1. The CCP drives showcase mega construction projects for a period of about 10 years before the workers and management is paid off (probably a third of the funds is wasted due to corruption). The economic costs and benefits are not even properly examined, like the construction of the HKZMB road bridge across the gulf between Hong Kong and Macao, which is a crumbling waste of money that is not even 5% of capacity use and is haemorrhaging money daily. This is the cause and effect of mega government projects with no economic or environmental cost balance taken into account. This new canal is the same showcase project; big, expensive, largely useless and causes foreseen and unforseen effect on the rivers and lakes of China with local climate changes and geo-seismic issues like the Three Gorges Dam.The psychopathic CCP does not even consider investing in the thing that drives civilization; it's people.
