  1. The CCP corporations struggle to innovate. This is doubly so for chip fab companies. Their R & D work by hostile takeover of small, hopeful Western innovative tech minnows, arriving in China then ending up broke or kicked out, is now over. Stealing tech and copying large Western corporations, such as Apple, is becoming increasingly difficult. Working with native Chinese innovators, such as research institutions and universities are low quality and dissappated research in China. Deep corruption in these China institutions breeds disincentive to extend engineerining and research breakthroughs.

  2. Not quite. Private capital has evaporated in China, never to return under CCP rule, unless stupid Western investors start handing them out money again. Public money, particularly in the hands of the Central government in China is unfortunately, very much alive. It's this money that keeps it's internal security forces and it's military industrial complex going
