  1. You've forgotten internal security apparatus and departments in China, such as their massive police force and other security services. This massive security infrastructure uses a greater budget in personnel and equipment than the PLA (armed forces of China). This is because unelected fiat power of the CCP is unstable, and the CCP needs this massive security apparatus to destroy Hong Kong for example, and beat down the Uighers, Mongols and Tibetans, and their own Han Chinese dissenters and to disseminate propaganda to cover it all up! I bet the FBI, CIA and police forces in the US would love the lavish security budgets of the CCP.

Nope, what China did with the Xivid19 (Covid19) pandemic inside it's borders is cover everything up and only allowed the outside world to "see" it's scary and inhumane methods of bolting people inside their apartments. I wonder how UK citizens would feel if their government went around sealing and imprisoning tens of thousands of people inside their homes to reduce infection rates? The reality indicated that the first wave (in 2019 to early 2020) hit Wuhan very hard, with tens of thousands of people dead there from Covid. That's just one city in China. A lot of "news" out of China is faked and massaged by a massive propaganda department, so i would take Chinese figures with a grain of salt. China actually is a lot weaker (economically at least) than other Western pundits have allowed (they have invested personally and foolishly millions into China, so they will talk it up, not down). China's economy is currently retracting as fast as it was growing. There are dark clouds gathering there; Evergrand Group owes 300 BILLION to investors (there are dozens of more China large real estate companies in deep debt). In terms of energy, China is unable to maintain power to cities. Regular power cuts now happen to third and even second tier cities. Factories and supply chains are impaired. This is not the status of a superpower, rather a failing tyrannical government.
