  1. This is not just a subset problem of Germany itself. We live in too conservative a time, Fascism (and National Socialism which is not quiite the same as Fascism, plus Communism), are now on the rise everywhere, i.e. totalitarian political parties. This is partially historical amnesia or lack of enlightened education of today's youth. What does totalitarianism lead to, as it offers us "paradise"? Continual war.

  2. Haven't we been here before 80 to 90 years ago? Do people have amnesia? Have they forgotten the devestation, death and destruction that can be wrought now hundreds of times worse through total war than the Second World War or they don't care that they're perceived to be nasty, brutish, myopic and morally bankrupt and marching in lock-step towards the abyss again?

What the exteme right (and possibly the extreme left) is saying that your alllegiance is not what oaths and laws your accept and proclaim for citizenship of your adopted country, but what your ethnicity is. This is anti-pluralism and a hark back to pre-enlightenment mediaevil values such as sectarian violence, ghettoism (enforced by the state), lack of habeas corpus and so on.
