Eugenics influenced the work of the writer Aldous Huxley in the fictional novel, "Brave New World". This novel, however, was not pro-Eugenics.

Trotsky was liked because Stalin probably was worse. Yet, he was a totalitarian like Rosa Luxemburg and other leading Communists and he committed war crimes and genocide (democide) during Lenin's reign. An excellent fictional book on the critique rise of Communism in the Soviet Union is "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. Read it.

People criticise the Treaty of Versailles, but the Brest-Livosk treaty that the new Soviet Union was forced to signed by the Imperial German Empire was far more punitive. Having beginning to supress counter-revolutionaries in Russia by the Bolsheviks, and attrition and war weariness in the Russian population which gave Lenin power in the first place, the Bolsheviks were in no condition to resist this treaty. The only thing that got the Bolsheviks off the hook was the surrender of Germany to the Western Entente allies in 1918, which nullified the treaty of Brest-Livosk in 1919.

It's the same party in power now (the CCP). While I know quite a bit about Mao's Cultural Revolution, with cannibalism it suddenly gets even horrifically worse. Banquets of the morally damned 😮
