  1. I am not going to talk politics here, I am only interested in space exploration. Except to say that the Soviet Union did very good work with these earlier lander probes and it will remain in the historical annuals of space exploration for all humankind. Regrettably, the people that worked on the Venura program are probably now all dead of old age. Politics now currently prevents Western space exploration engineers to collaborate with their Russian scientists counterparts on a new Venura exploration program. This time with a rover in mind.

  2. ​ @thevox1075 Not enough money anywhere to do that now, and the politics is crap. Maybe in the 2030s. I want to see a return to Venus lander exploration probes.

  3. Next Venus mission; need a rover on Venus. Very tough, able to survive days or weeks in an ultra-hostile environment. Much more of an engineering challenge than NASA's Odyssey rover on Mars.
