  1. They already have a plan to wage war on the West and supplant the United States, which is not very secret and already documented. It's called "Unrestricted Warfare" written by two PLA air force colonels in 1999. Already, the CCP is advanced in this plan. It calls for asymmetrical warfare (with a shooting war against the US being a last resort, take note of that). Instead it plans subversion, economic dominence and disinformation as it's main offensives. Included in this are massive cyber attacks on Western institutions (both government and private), Western media and politician capture from high to low, technology theft, economic takeovers, alternative international banking systems to subvert the US dominence of this, debt trap diplomacy (called the Belt and Road) on so on. So it's an offensive over many spheres. And they (the CCP) have gotten away with it for 20 years until now. Now, the think tanks of Western governments have to come up with equal countermeasures to this broad-scale offensive. Sanctions, legal means for prosecuting criminal and espionage activites, counter-espionage intelligence operations, CCP containment military alliances, withdrawal of US dollars from mainland Chinese banks, trade tariffs and so on. The US governmrnt is already pressing ahead with their counter-offensive while the EU stands stupidly by the sideline, uncertain what to do while the CCP plunders them too.
