  1. The Showa totalitarian government had it's decision forceably made for it by two atomic bombs and the Soviet blitzkrieg of Manchuria (Manchuko). Without waging the Pacific War (as the aggressor; sorry the Japanese started it by massively bombing Pearl Harbor without a prior ultimatum), it is conceivable that the Showa system of government may still be ruling Japan now, and not a democratic state that it actually is. I hate war, but it's a political act that changes history. I wonder if the government of China wants an all or nothing contest that will change it's fate to total victory or total defeat, like Japan's was.

It's sad and messed up what is happening to 900 million lives over in China (not a billion because probably 1 in 10 are in the CCP, and they are doing materially quite well compared to the others, thank you). China seems so beholden to one man charismatic dictatorships, from a long line of parasitic feudal emperors to even worse savage and brutal oppertunists like most of the CCP leaders, including Xi Jinping. I call it the Russian disease, because China and Russia have a similar history of brutal authoritarian regimes throughout their histories, and like the Russians, the CCP seems to be on the skids right now. Might end up the same as the end of the Soviet Union.
