Germany; their scientists, doctors, engineers and industrialists, would be strongly targeted by the CCP, because Germany is a country with advanced science, technology and industry and good universities. Perhaps, second only to the United States in the world. Yet, politically, the German government (responsible for counter espionage, this agency is called the BND in Germany) seems oblivious to the danger or is politically downplayed by German officials. Probably because German corporations and big business are hoping that China will turn to Germany for business, now it's getting more difficult for the CCP to infiltrate the United States. This attitude is a big mistake. The CCP will steal German technology and recruit German academics, industrialists and military officers secrets lock, stock and barrel. And Germany will loose out, economically, geopolitically and with national security implications, big time.
    1
