  1. The political statement that the CCP propaganda this woman absorbed as a child, is strangely pretty well the opposite to reality. Growing up in China is like being in a religious school where Jesus Christ is a lord and king and proclaimed the saviour of mankind, and you just accept that. Totalitarian power structures create this existential dissonance with reality. In order to maintain this illusion, you censor (the internet) control mass media outlets, brainwash children and throw dissenters into jail (in China) and victimize their families and friends in order to threaten silence, and from the CCP point of view, achieve Orwellian "harmony", which from a psychological point of view, branching from all that negativity to achieve this goal, is impossible. It's an undemocratic gangrenous and unstable power structure, emanating from a psychopath (Mao Zedong) and recently reinforced and resurrected by another psychopath, Xi Jinping. It's as if another turn of the political wheel of fortune brings another godfather-like mafia criminal head to lead all of China. I don't at all mind Chinese people as emigrants keeping aspects of their culture and language at all, but including the poisonous and absurdly racist ultranationalism of the CCP is way beyond the pale, is an existential threat to all of us & should be resisted root and branch.
