@chaptermasterpedrokantor1623 The PLA tactics infiltrating the NK border was skilfully done (avoiding detection by American air patrols), but everything else tactically was not done at all well by the PLA. The Chinese army had the highest casualty rates in the Korean war (including the Koreans), which is remarkable seeing that they were there for only the second half of the war. It's estimated that the Chinese casualties exceeded 900,000 men killed or wounded, vastly outstripping the UN forces opposing them. The PLA in the Korean War lacked armour, aircraft and even artillery (the North Koreans had at least initially attacked with Soviet T-34 tanks). Why the North Koreans and not the Chinese got the feared T-34 tank speaks volumes about the poor relationship Mao was having with the Russians at that time. Intead, the PLA used human wave offensives attacking quite well-fortified positions of UN troops who were able, in most cases, to mow down the attacking waves of Chinese infantry with automatic weapons, defensive artillery barrages and tactical bombing support. At this point the Korean War devolved into an infantry killing war; of PLA soldiers. That's why the Chinese (forcing the North Koreans to cease fire peace negotiations in June 1953) were loosing too many soldiers.

Most of what the CCP and Xi Jinping says are bare faced lies. Now, many of us are taught as children by our parents or guardians that it's bad form to tell falsehoods, but this is overlooked or even frowned upon in a socialist totalitarian system (the CCP) that actively and consistantly uses propaganda to tell falsehoods about itself and to denigrate others as a spectacle for ideological consumption and nationalistic support. Confuscius would be spinning in his grave.
