  1. What Thunderf00t said sadly is correct about human space exploration. When Musk exits the stage on this venture, plus all his other ventures, the government bean counters (whether in Congress or bureaucrats) will look at the figures and decide the cost of sending humans to space will be impossibly expensive, period, and a folly to boot (because of Musk's antics). Other governments, like the EU will follow suit for similar cost reasons. Maybe the Chinese Communist Party might try because to them humans are expendable sheep (like Laika the dog in the USSR space program) and they can suppress bad news (of killing their Taikonauts in space or in transit) anyway.
