  2.  @NoName-gv6nm  Some people claiming to be engineers are suggesting the possibility that with liquid-fueled nuclear fission, it would be possible to use the heat to make synthetic carbon-neutral fuels that would replace gasoline and Diesel fuels, making it possible to keep the ICE infrastructure in place and avoid the environmental cost of replacing it with something else. Also human population attrition could be part of the solution, and so could conservation measures such as traveling less, and another component could be transports using electrical distribution and moving pickups such as overhead pantographs, third rails, and trolley pickups.
