If you are going to distribute power that way, how do you step down the voltage for loads that need lower voltage, e. g. almost all loads?

@luciusdouglas5807 Howsoever you may set the variables, it will still be the case that the rotating machine is storing a finite amount of energy (in joules), and you are bleeding away some of it (in joules per second) and so the amount in the store must diminish. And when it reaches zero, it can't go any further.

The relationship is that in the engine and in the motor, rotation is being produced from individual pulls that don't follow the full rotation. The effect of a coil and a magnet is similar to that of a crank and a piston rod, in turning push-and-pull force into rotation.
