@kaxerrr Even in ancient Greece, it was known that power should never be given, or granted, or even lent, to someone who seeks power. A leader should have to be dragged from is ordinary life, and installed in power over others against their wishes, and even then for a limited time. Many of the heroes of the Roman Republic were fabled to be of this type.. The last person in the world to be granted the inedible power of the modern state is someone who thirsts for it. To me: Trump, Biden, Sanders etc, their all the same. They are unworthy.
I really think the only way out of this, is to use the methods of scientific testing, and virtual scenarios, to determine who is most fit for various positions and to have regular government upgrades, in which all citizens are tested and the most effective installed in a position until someone scores higher. There are all kinds of details, and concerns of fairness that could easily be overcome with today's technology. In the future it may be more effective to have AI determine policy which would be tested in a quantum simulation and then voted on by the people who score highest in the tests for various offices. Not likely. but that is probably the most effective approach to govern at this point. Democracy can work, and provide synergistic results due to epigenetic propensities of humans, but it cannot work in an atmosphere of 24/7 lies and disinformation, and the general obscuration of facts and evidence, like we now have.
