  1. Sidis abjured the thought of his genius being exploited by capitalists for evil. Something some later geniuses should have noted before they put their talents into weapons design. My understanding is that he ended up maintaining computational machines of some sort during a night shift where he didn't have to interact with other people, and collected subway tokens.

  2. That is true when speaking of philosophy, ethics, religion, and spiderman comics, when speaking about mechanics, electronics, gardening, etc. It's not true at all. In the later case, if you don't know that you know something, you don't know it.

  3.  @kaxerrr  Even in ancient Greece, it was known that power should never be given, or granted, or even lent, to someone who seeks power. A leader should have to be dragged from is ordinary life, and installed in power over others against their wishes, and even then for a limited time. Many of the heroes of the Roman Republic were fabled to be of this type.. The last person in the world to be granted the inedible power of the modern state is someone who thirsts for it. To me: Trump, Biden, Sanders etc, their all the same. They are unworthy. I really think the only way out of this, is to use the methods of scientific testing, and virtual scenarios, to determine who is most fit for various positions and to have regular government upgrades, in which all citizens are tested and the most effective installed in a position until someone scores higher. There are all kinds of details, and concerns of fairness that could easily be overcome with today's technology. In the future it may be more effective to have AI determine policy which would be tested in a quantum simulation and then voted on by the people who score highest in the tests for various offices. Not likely. but that is probably the most effective approach to govern at this point. Democracy can work, and provide synergistic results due to epigenetic propensities of humans, but it cannot work in an atmosphere of 24/7 lies and disinformation, and the general obscuration of facts and evidence, like we now have.

It's the Special Class, we're all idiots, using our capacity for symbolic cognition for nonsense, entertainment, and self-aggrandizement instead of real things in the real world. The real world is the world that doesn't disappear when nobody is thinking about it like would be the case with religion for instance. Know how to fix a fuel injection system and you know something, know the Bible, Koran, or the history of Spiderman chapter and verse and you know nothing real.
