I've seen photos of M549 HERA rounds, seemingly in use in Ukraine. This is the rocket assisted HE round. Still needs a bit of guidance to be Excalibur. Good to see something anyhow. Now if they only had some M1156 kits to go with the rocket assist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1156_Precision_Guidance_Kit IMHO the most significant weapons in the war: On the Russian side the Krasnopol and Krasnopol M guided artillery shells with a max range of about 16 miles and a hit rate on specific targets of about 80%. The Russian also have a rocket propelled guided artillery round thought to be the equal or better in range of the American rocket propelled guided Excalibur shell, but I kinda doubt it, according to Wikipedia it's range is 18 miles. The American Excalibur is devastatingly accurate and can be used by existing M109A7 Paladin self-propelled howitzers which can send Excalibur rounds to 39.3 kilometers (24.4 miles), which ERCA an extended barrel length howitzer can now lob to 43 miles. Their is a German/South African gun that reportedly can do a little better. The Canadians recently supplied Ukraine with both the Excalibur rounds and the Dutch gave a small number of self-propelled howitzers that can use it and now the Germans have too. It can also be used by the towed guns recently supplied by the USA and Canada, but they pale in comparison to the capabilities of the German Panzerhaubitzen 2000 that the Dutch and Germans are supplying (unfortunately in extremely limited numbers). To me the most exciting development in this field is that Norway's Nammo has unveiled a potentially revolutionary concept for an air-breathing, ramjet-powered, pseudo-missile that any standard 155mm howitzer can fire at targets more than 60 miles away. This would be a truly great time for Norway, and Nammo to supply the 155s with a shell that can reach out and touch Russian artillery with little or no exposure other than to air to ground or guide missile fire. To have Russia exchange expensive guided missiles for common towed artillery with uncommon munitions, is not such a bad exchange in a scenario in which missile production is dependent upon tech they may no longer have access to. In any event, even if Russia should win in Ukraine, and realistically there is very good chance of this, Russia is totally screwed in the long term. How could this possibly come "as a complete shock to the United States"? Putin has been bragging about Russia's new generation of terror weapons for years. Submarine atonomous drones that contain huge hydrogen bombs that can deploy themselves for years in advance and detonate underwater off shore of the USA, to generate a tusnami hundreds of meters high that would crash into various seaboard cities, hypersonic glide vehicles with unlimited range that can change course infinitly at twenty times the speed of sound: for which the USA and NATO have no defense, even on the horizon. Further he has murdered his political foes without the slightest compunction. He has secreted away via Panamaian lawyers, dummy corporations in the names of his friends and clients, possibly more wealth, than Elon Musk's total wealth. Money that he stole through his governmental influence. This is only a compete shock to the Americans who have no interest at all in geopolitical strategy but are only interested in social signalling and other imbecilic issues that probably got much of their impetus when Trump normalized stupid wing extremism, and by the Russian government workers who work tirelessly to bend social media to further polarize American views.

We know that Putin is enormously wealthy. That he uses those close to him to act as shills in legal scams involving dummy corporations and other ways to hide wealth. Elon Musk, who is supposed to be history's wealthiest man, has claimed that Putin is much richer than he is himself, and I believe this to be true. My question is how much of Putin's obscurated personal wealth is invested in US and NATO defense industries? I have heard rumors that it is quite a bit. But would even Putin engage in war to stimulate profits in the defense industries of his enemies to increase his personal wealth?

Blame the Palestinians? Blame the Israelis? I blame Lord Rothschild and the British, who are responsible for most of the instability in the Middle East because of their former imperialist policies. Of course the lies of the respective religions are used to rationalize their respective uncivilized brutality (I still remember that Israli bulldozer operator crushing that teenage American girl to death when she tried to stop it from flattening Palestinian homes. And the intentional attack of the USS Liberty by Israeli jets posing as Egyptian in an attempt to drag America into a war.) What do you expect will happen when you run people out of their homes because of inane historical and religious beliefs? Inane anti factual beliefs on both the Israeli and Palestinian sides. Over and over again the British established systems of governance that could only lead to conflict. In this case one of the first things the Jews who moved to Palestine did was blow up the British police station, and when the Brits withdrew they founded Israel on land that was occupied by other people, stealing their land and running them out of their homes because the deeds were held by Turkish concerns that they bought up at bargain bin prices as a result of the Turkish involvement in WW1. The Jewish homeland should have been established in Brazil, where they could have bought unoccupied land at the time for almost nothing.
