Desertification of grasslands is one matter: cutting down forests to turn it into pastureland is another matter entirely. If all the forests that were present in 1800 were to magically reappear or were regrown, it would reduce greenhouse gases by 87%. So while intense herding that mimics defensive posturing before rapacious predation, may indeed help grasslands revitalize, the elimination of livestock grazing on lands that would return to forests may be even more helpful.

@Gustav4 Wastelands have been brought back to grasslands then woodland by stopping grazing, many times. There is a major difference between forest land that is cleared for pasture, and natural grassland that is improperly used and degraded. I would never join facebook. That is for people who don't care or understand how evil facebook is.

@Gustav4 It's so convenient to support evil. I know. I leave it to you and your associates. As you know YT is owned by Google, who just release free of charge to the world the computed forms of all the proteins in the human metabolism. Quite a difference in their relationship to the world.
