@jorgealvarado3512 You can legally buy the seeds. You can legally grow the flowers. You cannot legally harvest the straw or pods. They are legal only as ornamental plants. If you grew enough poppies to take care of chronic pain on your property you would receive an abrupt visit from the police or DEA and be charged with a number of serious crimes. The seeds are legal to eat. I guess tea from the seeds is legal, but you would have to grow a lot of plants to get enough seeds to do you any good for chronic pain or take care of any addiction to inject-able street drugs. The DEA has already curtailed the sale of pods for ornaments. Used to be a big market on ebay. But quietly it went away. You used to be able to easily get seeds that were not washed with chemicals or water. Now not so easily. Eventually that will all go quietly away too. The AMA does not want to give up it monopoly on medicine. In many countries like Canada pain meds like hydrocodone are OTC meds that anyone can get without a prescription.

Nobody in a position to do so really wants to solve this problem. Some don't even consider it a problem, they consider it career insurance. The solution is simple and has been proven in Switzerland. You give addicts free drugs in clinical surroundings with access and caring inducement to enter therapy. This will solve all this instantly. But, the bankers don't want that. They want to continue to clean the billions in profits for their cut. They own the media and you are not ever going to see anything on corporate owned media that presents a real, proven, solution to this problem, because for the power elite, this is not a problem, it is a source of capital. Here is an even simpler way to put an end to enriching the first criminal billionaires on earth. Which were created entirely by the puritanical US laws. Make it legal for any adult to grow any plant for their own use or the use of someone in their care. End of problem. People will just grow poppies in their gardens and settle into a maintenance dosage, stop the criminal activities they are involved in to be able to afford these illegal drugs and get back to a productive life. This has also been proven in Switzerland. The power-elite know all this, yet in their media they continue their century of lies in order to manipulate public opinion, for the sake of their own profits and power.

@Cbd_7ohm Actually opium is legal for sale with a script. I use to work for one of the one percent in a trusted capacity. She had a scripts for both opium in the form of paregoric and cocaine as nasal drops, and she had empty bottles of the stuff all over her house. Also opium is legal and for sale without a script in the USA if you have the brains to figure out how.
