The biggest thing we could do to reduce greenhouse gases is to replant forests on the lands that have been clear-cut for pastureland. Cutting down the forests for grazing land resulted in 87% of the greenhouse gases. That is really the only hope, to reverse climate change, you would have to have forests back to the level of the 1800s. This will never happen because most people would have to give up hamburgers and milkshakes. It is not true that Globl Warming cannot be reversed in short order. If most of the people on earth stopped buying the products of animal agriculture and let the forests regrow where they had been cleared for grazing it would reverse in a matter of years. Of course this will not happen, because people are incapable of accepting facts they do not like, and changing their behavior based on facts.
