In September 2018, it became known that Ukraine has received more than 100 Aselsan Eye-Lr S thermal imagers, whichwere installed on Stugna-P installations. So basically if the image show a different shade for the tank than it does for the background -- it is occupied, or they left the engine running or the coffee maker on.

@golden.lights.twinkle2329 I believe you can assume that the missile sight has thermal capability (In September 2018, it became known that Ukraine has received more than 100 Aselsan Eye-Lr S thermal imagers, which will be installed on Stugna-P installations). In that case if you can see the tank as a different shade than the background you may as well assume it is occupied, since it would have to be recently abandoned to have a differentiating thermal image.
