It has been said that if a person makes effusive hand gestures, it is because his words are controlling what he says (in other words his "thought process" is totally automatic). It has also been said by the same sage, the more hand gestures: the less trustworthy. These are factors I do not expect you will like hearing, and if you do not like it, you will not believe it. I bet you don't like that one either, and will not believe it. Caught between two mirrors who are both pretending to be you -- aye? -- and are pretty much getting away with it. Of course no body knows more than the pundits who have achieved popular acclaim, so please disregard the preceding. 😊

I personally kept finding Peterson''s gestures inauthentic and strange. I was wondering just what it was he was trying to convey with these strange large gestures where he was holding both his hands semi-outstreched in front of his chest and flicking his fingers about rapidly as if trying to simultaneously keep a cloud of confetti or foil pieces in the air: a sort of kitten-like gesture. Finally I realized that this was how he expressed the fact that he was subconsciously aware that he was simply showing off that he could babble so eloquently. At one point he almost -- almost, claimed that the archetypes underlying religion were energetic patterns projected onto consciousness by the physical structure and metabolic processes of the reticuliar activating system. Almost, but he devolved into camouflaged apologetics and more strange dramatic gestures. Sometimes it almost looks like he is employing the type of affectatious and contrived passes that a stage magician or hypnotist would employ.

I know the wasteland of awareness that leads one to sup on such facsimiles of means and being. Such compulsive flailing at tertiary conceptions in search of the luscious living liquid light and the orgasmic grace of the life-ruining grande experience which be obscured by their very explanations, same as it ever was. So sad: so uproariously funny. Hold forth my darling thinkers, figurers-out in a land of infinitely fungible, infinitely adjacent conceptions: how right they are. I find his voice annoying, good thing he isn't saying anything much, just yaking on and on with his blinding flashes of the obvious. Alan Watts did it better and decades ago. This guy isn't in the same class as someone like Watts, Gurdjieff, Jan Cox, or Carlos Dwa. But he is popular.

I personally find it incredible that Jordan Peterson is so revered, while so many others who are far beyond his discernment of the human condition are largely unknown and ignored. I suppose it is some kind of general function of collective awareness that that is the way things have always gone and will continue to go. Personally I think the mans ideas are trite that he is personally a facade, and that he attempts to help others because he is incapable of helping himself.

@Theserjtankianfan Sure Ernie: debate is like when I say that this video is a conversation about nothing. Then you say, it's not about nothing, it's about Marxism and the archetypal forces that shape our cultures by two highly esteemed pop intellectuals: or something like that. Then I have to decide if: since you did not understand what my initial comment signified, and by your own comment it is obvious that you, like most everyone has only ever experienced the thought-centric-mind and the feelings that give rise to it's conceptions as your identity, if it would not just be a study in futility to explain to you why this conversation is about nothing but hormones and hot air, and why the apparently significant concepts that are discussed are: firstly all second-hand thoughts that have been elucidated many times before and secondly are actually about nothing of any real substance, import, or enlightening potential, and can only lead to more and more impotent and associative wool gathering no matter of what apparent sophistication. I feel that no matter what course I choose, you would never actually be able to see how silly these men and those who take such dialogues seriously actually are. You may now prove my assumptions correct.
