the real problem is, you are not your self-aware mind. The mind, or what I would refer to as the thought-centric associative mechanism is an automatic function of the real you, of which you are apparently unaware. The entire idea that you are this automatic thought-centric associative function is naive beyond my current impulse to explain. The typical human is identified with this function and this function would indeed identifiy itself as "I". But this is the thinnest of illusions. All the sages of all ages suggest and I have personally confirmed the fact that if one where to actually become conscious on a higher level all these automatic associations, words and concepts come to a complete stop, yet your conscious awareness expands. To think that a person is their "mind" and that this mind can be divorced from the metabolic substrate, and exist in any authentic form without a limbic system is so, excuse the term, so idiotic that it beggars belief.

@monad_tcp Minds are on an ego-trip. The "mind" is a thin veneer on the actual being. There is no such thing as a mind without what produces it. If you could copy the habitual automatic flow of association, which most people consider to be their minds and indeed themselves, it would be an automaton without the possibility of self-awareness. It would even lack the possibility of realizing it is insane. Which it would be. The thought that there could be an unbound ego or "I", a spirit, is a fantasy. A conceptual conceit of an automatic function that was developed as a survival mechanism. https://www.youtube.com/@Vision-ey6fi
