The common error is to compare what Waymo is doing with what TEsla is doing re FSD. There is no comparison, Tesla FSD can and will be perfected to be able to drive anywhere, even dirt roads, even off road. Waymo can only drive in geofenced areas on surface streets that need continual remapping all the time because of changes in traffic logistics and physical changes to the infrastructure, and construction.

Because cybercab will not be geofenced.

The insurance companies will be financially responsible. NITSA already realizes that tens of thousands of American lives will be saved each year by Tesla FSD, and millions will be saved worldwide when it is fully adapted. The absolute safest cars on the road right now are Tesla's that are driven with supervised FSD. That is a fact, look it up.
3
Waymo is not even in the same ballpark as TEsla FSD. It is a limiting, limited system.
2
No he said two months and one hour late. lol
2
And the cybertruck will never be released. Oh it has been, and oh Tesla is already doing it sans the disaster. Driving under TEsla FSD has far far fewer accidents than people driving their own cars -- so says the actual facts. Get up to speed dude.

Ha, in China Tesla is considered the best in every regard and they outsell every Chinese EV. The head of XPENG was astonished when he utilized Tesla FSD.

@edwardtan8307 They are already doing that, but in a more intelligent way. Every Tesla on the road with FSD is recording data, and especially date of interventions. This date is being used to train the AI that actually drives the cars. When the interventions hit virtual zero, it will have been tested and already proven everywhere, not in a fenced area.

You obviously do not know anything about what Tesla FSD is capable of compared to the foolish Mercedes and Waymo suggestions you made.

@grahamstevenson1740 Who brought the stranded astronauts back to earth? Who made it possible for a paraplegic to use a computer with his mind? Who made EVs a worldwide thing? Who made rockets reusable? Who successfully launched the biggest rocket to ever leave earth? Who makes is possible for anyone anywhere to get high speed internet? Who has developed an energy company that has doubled it's sales of megapacks in the last year, managing little effects like freeing the island of Hawaii from the need to import hydrocarbons to take up the slack in their solar grid> If you think all this was inspired and brought to reality by a conman -- you have been conned, but not by Musk.
1
TEslas driven with FSD on are the safest cars on the road with far fewer accidents than any other category of vehicle per thousand. Those are the facts look them up. And Teslas cars are the safest in a collision.
1
@caydenthompson126 IF you think there is some kind of parity between FSD and geofenced programmed vehicles you know nothing.

I'm gonna have mine layup carbon fiber hulls and assemble hoverwing ground effects hovercrafts. So I can fly on the Susquehanna River.
1
Yeah right, I bet a year ago you were still claiming that the Cybertruck was a fraud and would never be produced, and now it is the number one selling electric pickup in the USA, outselling the combined sales of all other companies. But why let facts hamper your attitude. If you knew anything at all about the latest Tesla FSD, you would know that this is just a baby step from where Tesla is right now.
1
It will only take two years for you to deny that you ever doubted the biggest value increase in history would take place. OF course your false prophecies will go unremembered -- by you at least.
1
@erickuelker5079 Probably, but humans also use hearing, and kinestetic sense of g forces to drive. Not that Tesla will need to, but we do. They probably already use accelerometers anyhow in the safety systems.
1
Tesla models continue to be number one in China, and recently found to have the least problems of all EVs sold in China. Hard to beat beating the rest.

llm and other forms of AI do not and never will have consciousness, unless they are developed from artificial life, complete with an artificial limbic system. Conscious awareness does not arise in the automatic thought-centric associative mind that you mistakenly refer to as "I".

Nope, Tesla events like this, including beats in the quarters have mostly been simultaneous with a dip in Tesla stock value. I was posting a month ago on Tesla channels that this will not bring a higher valuation, but the traditional dip. For those who have the ability to do HFT and have the right logarithms there are fortunes being made because of huge fluctuations in Tesla stock prices day to day and week to week. But over the long haul Tesla is better than gold, if the government does not interfere.
1
Yea: . . . that's not what happened.
1
@cheng-s8r You should ask yourself that because Teslas under FSD have already been proven by the insurance industry to be fourteen times safer than cars driven by humans alone. Based on the average hours of driving before an accident. Get some facts Jack.
1
@antonio2134 lol, can I use my Thrustmaster kit?

Your car insurance will be less if you car is used in FSD mode because of the better safety. Which has already been proven by the insurance companies. Tesla also sell insurance so . . . If it crashes your insurance company is liable -- I'm sure you could have figured that out is you took a breath. People will come to realize that EVs require little maintenance, as for the depreciation, it will be more than covered by your earnings, and you will be able to deduct depreciation form your taxes since it will be a business. The cars will probably be cleaned up by robots before they are returned to you. People who have been abusive to your property will have to pay for any damages they do, which will all be recorded by internal cameras and stored by Tesla. Maintenance cost will still be far less than your typical ICE car: no oil changes, no new breaks needed, no tuneups or spark plugs, basically no maintenance other than tires. If you had bothered to even learn a little about this whole thing, you wouldn't be so in the dark with such childish questions.

It's already been approved in many major areas einsten. Teslas driven with FSD engaged are exponentially safer than cars driven in the old way. That is a fact look it up.
