@eledgy So is the "cheat the customers and regulators" pedigree. But what does it matter if a company is dishonest if you get to go vroom vroom.

The owner made some good initial choices. In my opinion this is the direction that performance will go. The big change is coming: EVs will become a lot lighter and it won't be long before they attain parity in handling. There are a lot of porsche fanboys who routinely disparage Teslas in comparison to Porsche. But really, though there are the plaids, they are more an after-thought: a fun option for the odd affluent sedan/grand touring type driver. Teslas are designed to conquer the fattest part of the emerging new market paridigm. Porsche, on the other hand are, and have only ever been a niche segment that caters to performance enthusiasts. If Tesla had the ultimate sports car as a design vector it would be an entirely different game in the performance world. I would love to see Tesla release a small affordable roaster based on the new model 2 design -- preferably a fancar named the McMurtry edition. So McMurtry could be to Tesla like Shelby was to Ford. I am counting on the fact that my coming Teslabot will be able to build one for me after Chat GPT69 designs it. It seems like that will be the best bet.

It seems like that will be the best bet. Or maybe I'll just buy a Boxter.

@louiecarrigan821 I see you are sarcasm impaired. But I will bet your are wrong on the timing of the Teslabot. Their will be a tsunami of Teslabots. It will start as a trickle and months later be a deluge.
