My main interest at this point is the effect of Russia's demented actions, and the manner in which anti-Tesla politicians in Germany may be able to take advantage of shortages in petrol gas to limit or block production. I imagine that Elon has a plan B for this also? Perhaps giga solar development in Spain and conversion of the Giga presses to electrical induction?

Or perhaps better, find out if you can buy the company that is offering this, the art world values may be great for something you see in a museum, but the NY art scene and others is almost totally bullshit. If your teenager could do it at home don't buy it, it's all perception. Like thinking that a guitar that was used by Hendrix is worth more than one used by Johnny Rotten, just bragging rights for millionaires who remain petty internally despite their wealth.

@carholic-sz3qv If the furnaces that melts the aluminum ingots were converted to electrical induction as proposed in TOP why would it need gas? Answer: it wouldn't. It would be an enormous undertaking - that is true, unless the power was supplied by nuclear plant restarts in Germany, then big but not so much new construction and infrastructure. It would of course be less disruptive to order future presses already set up to use induction instead of gas when developing additional capacity. This is not rocket science. It has been done for decades in all manner of pot furnace construction, from glass to aluminum. It is even used in artist studios as well as industrial apps throughout the world.
