Plenty of Telslas have over 2k miles with about 80 percent left. The average of model S that is eighe years old is over 90 percent left.

Dude, he as already done that on multiple occasions. But really, at this point Tesla is far ahead of everyone, and if you can afford it, that is the one to get.

Will do. Thanks for the only really worthwhile comment (including my own).

That's funny, the report that I read claims that the average Tesla S that is eight years old still has over ninety percent left. Guess one of you is wrong. I would bet that it is you.

@fredbloggs5902 The average US is thirty miles a day.

@fredbloggs5902 Dear Fred, I was happy before, and continue to be happy. Personally I drive a generic SUV in the winter and my old 97 Miata anytime that there is no salt on the road. But I will buy a Cybertruck in the future which I have on reserve for about a year or so. And best of all, the profits on my investments in Tesla will more than pay for it. Yes I am happy. Thanks for caring. I am presently quite encouraged that due to the geopolitical situation, and the lock down in China, there will be another dip in Tesla stock. If I am so lucky that it approaches $750 I will bet the farm on it. One of my few investments that I get happiness from both when it is going up and when it is going down. Because anyone with real knowledge of the situation knows that despite the media FUD due to the fact that they don't give the media hundreds of millions a year in ad revenues, or wine and dine car mags with free specially built cars to test, and free gas sometimes for a year, and all expense paid junkets to their press events -- Tesla will triumph baring a world wide extinction event.

Science never believed it. Though a few editors of journals apparently did.

@noleftturns As I remember it, most professionals neither believed it nor could they duplicate it in independent studies. I think you have a very contrived memory of what actually happened, or you only approach subjects via pop media that is not their to inform you but to sell advertising space/time. The popular media does not accurately reflect the knowledge or attitudes of most scientists.

@noleftturns Point of "extension" huh? Here's some news for you. I don't care what you think. You obviously have no grasp on reality, and prefer mimes made up by some stoner who lives in their mom's basement to real evidence.

Apparently there is a company in the Netherlands that does this. Search on youtube, some car channel guy took his old leaf and had it refurbished there.

@MENDNZ I wish I lived in New Zealand: apparently one of the few sane governments on earth, though I am sure that many individuals have their complaints as is only mechanically human. Rudy Heeman lives in New Zealand, and if I lived there I would hire him to build me one of these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEm5tloP0Uw&t=2s This one sold at auction for 25k but it wouldn't have if I was there. I would have bought it and shipped it back to the states where something similar but not as good would cost you over 125k.
