  2. I agree entirely. I can only think of the Porsche 911 when people complain about the unchanging style of the Teslas. It barely changed for decades and was mostly so ugly that only a real driver could love it. Or the Dodge demon and derivatives: they all look the same year after year. Then their was the king of them all: the VW beetle. I think they still may be making them in Latin America, or did until a few years ago. What was the sense in updating the bug? . . . Perhaps to reduce sales? If they were still making the original VW bus, they would still be selling them. If they took exactly the same hippie bus style and electrified it, they would sell millions of them. But. . . you know, neither you nor I, nor apparently even the market, gets to make such decisions. I personally would much rather have a 69 camaro style with updated everything but the body like Joe Rogan does, maybe even electric. Much much rather have the 69 style Z/28 x33 body with the endura bumpers and all new internals than any of the more contemporary styles. What people really get tired of is not some great design, but their own minds, and their minds have been shaped by a century of conditioning by a manufacturing philosophy based on planned obsolescence which necessitates both intentional inferior quality and the instilled need to chase personal fulfillment through the ownership of designated status symbols with ephemeral longevity.
