  1. It's all because of the legalized form of corruption we have in the USA called campaign contributions. Dealerships, and dealership investors just sluice money into the coffers of politicians and in turn the politician protect the dealerships from competition from internet sales. Very cozy, very obvious, very criminal in spirit if not in letter. I think this will go under eventually as dealerships go under and the scumbags look elsewhere for their funding.
