Funny: I thought that Porsche came up with that idea with the 911.

Considering that the average driver drives about thirty five miles per day this will not be an issue. People will charge at home with an ordinary 220 connection, and it will be plenty for the average person. Also there is nothing at all keeping independent service centers from working on Teslas. And other than collision repairs, just what service do you imagine an EV actually needs?

I have occasion to drive through the most economically repressed area in the USA every week, that being the hard coal region of PA such as Shamokin and Shenadoah, and even there I occasionally see a Tesla. Which I find impressive.

You do realize that all the Teslas in the UK are sold -- right? That the waiting time is currently increasing? It is not a sales problem. If Tesla delivered less EVs in the UK last month it is because there were less Teslas shipped to the UK.

Then I suggest that you short Tesla stock. If you are correct you will be rich. Just don't think about more money being lost shorting Tesla than any other stock in the entire history of the market. You, unlike everyone else that bet against Tesla have a chance of being correct. Put your money where your mouth is.

I can actually believe they are not far off, but that is changing drastically everyday. When people begin to understand that buying a Tesla, even at today's prices, is actually less expensive than polluting the atmosphere that will make a big difference to most. Then when they drive one, that will clinch the deal.

@jebes909090 LOL another expert that has no idea what they are talking about. We are talking about engineering not upholstery. Tesla is at least five years ahead of the closes competition in engineering and they are innovating at a faster rate than any other OEM, so no one is every going to catch up to them. They will simply pull further ahead.

Just maybe it's because not a lot of Teslas were shipped to Ireland. I mean every Tesla that rolls off the line is sold my friend: so the kind of stats you are quoting may not make the point you are aiming at.

I appreciate your humor but suggest giving an irony alert after such statements for the sake of the irony impaired.

That seems to be the common experience with new Tesla owners. Enjoy.

The can't undercut Tesla on price without losing money on every sale, and it's going to get much worse in the future. Right now, you have to be kind of uninformed to consider any EV other than a Tesla.

You got to keep up here Doug. . . . meaningless.

Money talks. The object of the media is not to inform you, it is to sell ad space/time. Tesla does not give them money and is hurting the companies that do. What else could be expected?
1
It is so simply really -- every Tesla that is produced is already sold.

Yeah, seems like it.

@tedbundy2379 Sure you did. . . You made a fortune, that's why your here. To educate the rest of us. . . . moron.

@protagonist9716 Here is an up to date criticism of the CURRENT model Y by an expert in fit and finish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QFSTnNS7Vw&list=TLPQMjUwMjIwMjNW0ZD7GZqHWQ&index=7 Conclusion: current model Y fit and finish is the equal of any traditional OEM and better than most. Memes die hard, especially when perpetuated by billion dollar budgets.
