  1. Tesla is not in the fashion industry -- nitwit. Of all the major automakers Tesla is the most obsessed with engineering and forms follows function, unlike the fashion statements of Mercedes and its ilk. The German EVs are a decade behind and falling further behind each month.

  2. Performance is similar -- only if you are willing to pay 30k more for a car with similar stats. Don't know what planet you are living on, but it obviously doesn't get much news. Next year Tesla will be casting the entire underbody of their cars in one piece and the battery tray will be a structual component of the chassis. Also they will be selling a pickup with an exoskeleton instead of a chassis. Advances that the other companies never even dreamed of.

  6. I respected DW news until now. The real facts: nobody is catching up, in fact Tesla is pulling further ahead. Also the main stream media reporting on Tesla's safety is total nonsense. Tesla is the safest auto that you can buy and it has been proven. No one is catching Tesla especially not VW whose auto is inferior to Tesla in almost every way.

  7. @G M If you ignore all the crash tests, and real evidence, then what you say is almost true. Teslas are the safest cars presently availiable and the tests prove it. Unlike your hyperbolic nonsense, they are based in reality. Too bad if you shorted Tesla and lost your shirt, you deserve it.

  8. And due to the updated manufactoring in Tesla Berlin, the German Tesla's will actually be more advanced than those produced anywhere else. Except for maybe the Cybertrucks coming out of Austin.

  11. It's surprising that anyone with a conscience would even consider buying a VW after it became so clear what a bunch of cheating lying gangsters run it. They continue to sell polluting cars after cheating on the tests and you are stupitd enough to support this kind of fascist ethics. Not to even mention that the VW evs are vastly inferior to Tesla according to engeneering deconstruction by experts.
