It's utterly amazing. Not so much the young people, who either are coyly hip and criticize the gov by showing how it is dangerous to criticize it, though some do. But the amazing ones are the middle aged and older people, they have no idea at all what is going on, and their rationalizations about the few facts that can't be hidden from the people are so (I struggle for a word to describe it) so twisted and tortured and foggy with elements that are as meaningless as the social signaling of right and left wing nuts we have in the USA. It's just incredible. The only thing that comes close to it in terms of absolute denial of reality is those interviews that the Daily Show does at Trump rallies. Same kind of totally dumb blind loyalty and belief in any kind of idiocy as long as it supports what they already believe.
