Your videos explained a mystery to me. A woman visiting from China was next to me in a yoga class. I had an injury and could not follow along for every pose, but had to adapt to my injury. So I was improvising on some poses instead of doing what everyone else was. Every time I had to improvise I could swear it had an almost physical impact on the Chinese woman. It was as if she was experiencing some kind of physical aggression. Finally in the middle of the class she stomped out in an apparent rage, for no reason at all. Everyone was mystified and several people asked me what was up after the class. Your explanation of the collective mindset in China is in line with my hypothesis that this woman was so intolerant of any display of individuality that my adapted exercises made her throw a hissy-fit. So who would want to live somewhere were the spirit of creativity is crushed socially?
