  1.  @notabene7381  The people who voted Hitler into power are very similar to the people who voted Trump into power. They were mostly from small towns. Almost none of them actually knew anything about Hitler or his policies. They backed him out of a sense of frustration at the eternal bickering in the democratic government and they ached for a authoritarian Hero/daddy figure to take control, turn back the socialist tide, and make Germany great again. Make Germany Great Again was actually Hitlers campaign slogan. I know it's hard to believe we live in the midst of such ignorance, but there it is. The same shit, and the same dirty tricks over and over and over, and almost nobody ever catches on. By the way, if some tyrant gets complete control, one of the first things they will do is get rid of the intellectuals, because their id driven base hates intellectuals, and the intellectuals are the only people smart enough to figure out what is going on.

  4. If the conservatives actually ever make abortion illegal, they will lose half their voters because the right to lifers will no longer have any reason to vote for them. That's why they will never really go all the way with it.
