@rlholland3175 I had a 69 with dual holly three barrels, chambered pipes, factory headers, console delete, no radio, endura bumpers in phantom green with the white stripes: no idea what the real HP was, but you could not turn the car off if you used anything but the highest octane fuel, and even then you had to sometimes use the clutch to stall it. Speedometer only went to 120 and was frequently pegged. Car actually handled better at speed with the astro ventilation on and the windows slightly cracked. Rated at 290 HP for insurance purposes. And since it came from the factory without mufflers it was legal in my home state. Despite the massive power at high rpm and the decent handling my 97 miata is more fun to drive, it handles better and you can use the cars entire potential almost all the time, which was not possible with the Z.
