It's really very simple. If you are the kind of person who likes to push other people around, you become a cop so you don't have to pay the natural consequences of your criminal behavior.
I am in my seventies. I have never needed a cop for any reason during my entire life. Over my life I have gotten about five traffic violations that were complete lies, and the cops lied in court, and the magistrate knew they were lying, and the cops knew they were lying, and I knew they were lying, but we proceeded as if that were not the case.
Back in the sixties I had the misfortune of living in a dorm that was inhabited by the son of a local chief of police in Allentown PA, a famous chief of police who had a police academy named after him. I guess he got his son a part time job as a paid informant. This scumbag merely turned in heroin and made up times and places and said that about a half dozen students sold it to him.
Months after the alleged event we were rounded up and arrested purely on the lies this scumbag told. I imagine most were pot smokers, I was. So they charged us with sale and possession of heroin and marijuana, which I had never even seen in my lifetime, nor did I know anyone who had ever used heroin. And they got everyone to plead guilty to the sale and possession of pot in order for them to drop the heroin charges. I never smoked pot in front of this scumbag, let alone sold it to him. Everyone knew he was a narc.
But faced with the prospect of the possibility of twenty years in prison or a few months in county jail, I think anyone would have been coerced into pleading guilty to a crime they didn't commit.
So my life was basically thrown off the rails so this dickhead could advance in his career. And that was just a few kids who were damaged and alienated from the law in our teens, he went on to do this over and over and never to this day, has anything happened to him. And this happens every day, every hour, all over the country. And of course you get the "oh, yeah sure your innocent, they all say that." And if you are naive enough to think this is a fluke or exception you have just been lucky.
And since the sixties the power of an individual cop has grown exponentially. They can literally get away with murder and usually do. I was kind of amazed when I got to prison to find that not everyone was an innocent victim, but many of them were. And we are supposed to have respect for the law?
Drug laws are a scam, that have nothing to do with real crime. It's business, money for the cops, and keeping recreational molecules illegal has created criminal billionaires and supports organizations that are actually violent and deadly and a source of corruption on an unimaginable scale.
If you are unaware of it: people have used various recreational molecules for hundreds of thousands of years, even animals use them. Yet the drugs that are legal, the main one being alcohol, are extremely toxic to every cell in your body. Alcohol is actually more harmful than heroin if the criminality of it is not considered.
The war on drugs does not work, it has never worked, and it will never work, it's all just bullshit. In China were your family has to pay for the bullet that they murder you with if your are arrested for selling drugs people still sell drugs, and use them. This whole thing is evil from top to bottom. Not supernatural evil, or other imaginary ideas, but real evil: the domination of someone who does not wish to be dominated -- that's what evil is.
Unfortunately too many people in the police are evil, and stupid, and blind to the fact of what they really are. They think they are fucken heroes in their twisted minds, and yes some few of them are, but mostly just people who do not really want to work. And people wonder why others hate the police. Well get a clue.
Criminalization of alcohol created the first criminal millionaires, and the US drug laws have created the first criminal billionaires. All plants should be legal in their natural form. I personally no longer use recreational molecules of any kind, not alcohol, not caffeine, not refined sugar, nor any of the demonized molecules. If they were totally legal I still wouldn't use any, with the possible exception of peyote once a decade or so, but I believe that should be my decision and not some politician who has no idea at all of what things are.
In PA if you are in the medical marijuana program you cannot own a firearm. But if you are an alcoholic, with a permit you can carry your concealed weapon into a bar. These "leaders" as so stupid it make you want to scream. Where is the evidence? There is loads of evidence that alcohol makes some people more prone to violence and impulsive acts. A friend of mine's son was murdered outside of a bar where he got into a argument with a legally armed drunk. Where is the evidence that marijuana use leads to violence? There isn't any. In fact quite the opposite.
We are living in a culture ruled by imbeciles, and an unlikely proportion of them are high functioning psychopaths -- that's the fact. The leaders ARE the problem. Look at the present opioid problem, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that it just happened to start at the same time that the brilliant leaders made it near impossible for may people to get pain meds from their doctor. It's all nonsense.
In Switzerland they solved the drug problem by giving addicts free pharmaceutical drugs, as much as they want, in a clinical setting, with counseling and a caring therapeutic setting. Guess what. The vast majority of the crimes that were being committed to support the criminal cost of opioid addiction dried up, and most of these people were able to reenter legit society and hold down a job. In Portland they just decriminalized drugs, without support, without the necessary care and offers of therapy and guess what? It didn't work. Who could have guessed that would happen?
Our country is run by blockheads and high functioning psychopaths -- that is the only reasonable explanation for what is going on. Doing the same stupid things that didn't work over and over, Like war, drug criminalization is a scam.
