  1. Tesla outsells German EVs in Germany by a mile, and until recently they were Chinese manufactured. That should tell you everything you need to know about the relative strengths of the respective products. The most advanced cars in all the world are now made in Germany (and Texas, and China) And they are just getting started. The implementation of FSD will have an impact greater than did the invention of the steam engine.

  2. Lol, how can these guys be so ignorant about the market. Many people are making EVs but Tesla is selling them. They are a generation beyond all the other OEMs. It's like comparing an F-14 to an F-22. Both are fine planes, but not really comparable. Tesla cars are a generation beyond all the others, and when the others get to where Tesla is now it will be further ahead then it is now because it innovates far faster than anyone else of size. 1.9 to 2.2 million SOLD this year.

I know, it's been one "Tesla killer" after another, and "game over" for years. lol At least they know who they have to beat, even though they have no chance at this point of even drawing near to Tesla. Most consumer satisfaction of all brands. Most people who now say their car is their most prized possession. An entirely new kind of possession that continually improves itself even after you purchase it. If they haven't driven a new Tesla for a few days they should just shut up, or go out and rent a Hertz Tesla and be converted.

  4.  @R4dr1ar  That's not why they outsell the others lol. The reason is, they are a superior product that sells itself. The tradional gangster German oems spend millions on ads, Tesla does not advertise, and because of that the mass media gives them bad press they do not deserve continually, because Tesla will not give them the hundreds of millions that other OEMs pay up. But all that has to happen is someones friend or neighbor buys a Tesla, and they start telling them how much they love them. How it is now their prize possession that is on a new level. A generation ahead of all other EVs, just like the F-22 is a generation ahead of an F-16. How it is improved continually with OTA updates. And how Tesla is a superior company that does not cheat its customers like VW group. Not to mention your own admission that the manner in which it operates is far more efficient and forward looking, that is exactly why they have the advantage that you admit.

  5.  @R4dr1ar  Not really. Take December sales for which we have good data. Best selling VW model VW e-up sold 7, 789 cars. Best selling Tesla model -- model 3 sold 27,445. Second best VW model ID4 sold 6,790 units. Second best selling Tesla model Y sold 8,085. In fact Telsa model 3 sold more units than the four top selling VW group EVs combined. And noi the new Tesla plant in Germany is ramping up. So the cars will be built in Germany, and many of the parts are made in Germany even for American made Teslas, and large parts of the car were engineered in Germany, so that along with the fact that Tesla is the number one selling BEV in Europe, and the most desired throws a little factual light on your fantastic assumptions. All models sold for months in advance, your idea that Europeans don't trust American cars just falls apart. The quality of the Teslas made at the new plants is phenomenal, and we expect the Teslas built in Germany to be the best Teslas in the world, until Austin gears up. Then they wlll be some of the best Teslas built. Customer support could use some improvement, and that is just the nature of a business that is expanding so rapidly. I mean basically the ideas you expressed have no basis in reality. Unless you accept the yammerings of the commercial media and auto media as reality, and anyone who knows how the sausage is made with free junkets, and free cars, and free gas to reviewers, and hundreds of millions spent on advertising time and space in the same media that reviews cars, knows that Tesla doesn't do any of that. They do not advertise, they do not have special vehicles that they loan out for reviews and testing, which all other OEMs do, and they do not wine and dine the media. Surely you can figure out where you went wrong. It is a common mistake, that will be totally rectified when your neighbor buys a Tesla and tells you all about it. And you idea that everyone will be able to do over the air updates like Tesla now can, in a few years is a huge assumption, and nearly delusional based on the data to date. Tesla cars have one software dev, VW EVs have like hundreds of different software developers that they are trying to integrate, and not doing so well at it. Tesla is a different generation than all its competition and they will never catch up because Tesla innovates at a greater pace than any of them. In five years some will have caught up to were Tesla is now, but Tesla will be long gone. Solid gone.   7.  @Anthony__420  Gordon just advises to sell everything he comments on, because when he says buy, he is almost always wrong. In Tesla's case he is monumentally wrong.
