Cliff Notes take away: LESS mining than the petrol economy that is polluting the earth with far less pollution and over 90% recycling. The problem with gas/diesel is not just the fact that they are one of the primary factors in climate change (I barely care about that) but that, not only will they kill you quickly in an enclosed space, which may indicate something even to the terminally brain challenged, but they cause cancer over time to average exposure, like living next to a busy street or highway, and kill even more with various pulmonary diseases. The medical expenses alone that are caused by their noxious fumes are astronomical and they kill hundreds of millions of humans every year who have thoughts like, "I took care of myself and never smoked, why did I get cancer?"
