The USA refused to sell f-35s to Turkey because of it's procurement of Russian SAMs. That would be one example of the USA refusing to sell arms to allies. It has also refused to sell F22 to anyone, even the counties willing to bankroll the redevelopment of the assembly lines. There are actually scores of weapons systems that the USA hold for exclusive use.

@bbag1550 Russia may be facing "real consequences" in Ukraine, but it has yet to experience consequences that Putin really cares about, but it will.

@TS-jm7jm Democracy does not work well in a culture that is contaminated day and night by media spin and lies, which would be, just about everywhere -- especially the culture of lies that is MAGA. When confronted with purely factual information, with a large enough n, the the average of all conclusions (guesses really) will be more accurate than the most accurate single guess. How do we know this? Science.

@Innerspace100 Probably Tump's, but apparently you don't have to pull anything out of Trump's ass, it falls out all the time, no matter where he is. And people close to him just have to deal with the smell. But since most of them had covid, or at least covid of the brain, they can't smell it anyhow.

Scania still has some time to get it right before Tesla starts churning out semi EVs and exporting them to Europe or eventually building them there. But they have to do better. Tesla's semi is alien tech compared to Scania. Of course they can always strike against Tesla, problem with that is that the actual workers at Tesla have no reason or desire to strike. Like in Denmark.

I will check it out. The average person in the USA if not everywhere these days is history challenged. For instance not many people know that Russia, or the USSR was responsible for the biggest genocide that ever took place, and it happened in Ukraine, where peasants were starved to death by the millions (about 7million by some estimates) due to their policies. People too weak from starvation to walk were thrown alive into mass graves and buried. etc.

"Conflict averse"? You have got to be kidding. The Swedes are trying to shut down the Tesla company in Denmark even though the Tesla workers in Denmark do not want to go on strike and consider it the best company they ever worked for. That is not "conflict averse" that is a mafia shakedown by a union that operates like a crime organization.

@Viking-Hunt The history I read said that they were not the ruling class to start with, but that the Russians were so inept at ruling their own country that they invited Vikings that were really of no special rank in their home country to rule them.

@jeanettebrannstrom2320 Yeah I know that, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of looking up the old names of the individual city-state/territories that did. They became Russia anyway so a rose by any other name. . . .
