There is your problem. Tesla is twenty years ahead of the competition in technology of EVs. You can only buy a used Tesla at a dealership. People are starting to get it when they learn about the magnitude of the difference in the experience of owning a Tesla Vs everyone else. Safest car, most American cars, highest owner loyalty, highest owner satisfaction, most efficient, continual improvement after the sale via OTA updates, rave performance reviews for latest performance and track models that rival and usually beat cars costing twice as much, and of course the worlds best selling car model -- all without ads, because the owners are the best ad. Of course the media hates the idea that Tesla does not spend billions on ads each year like GM (2.2billion last year) and company, so the news is usually slanted to try to force them to pay the ad vig to defend themselves from the continual misrepresentation by the media. Before you buy an EV, test drive a Tesla. Several of the current models cost less than the average new car, and there is no comparison. And of course you also get access to all of the superchargers, the only viable network in America.
