@joerogue231 Nope: The US withdrew from the Vietnam conflict because of political repercussion at home. In Korea, the USA refrained from using nukes which it could have done without international repercussions of any note.

@OnkelGetreide91 Losing via lack of political will is not the same as losing because of inability to prevail in an all out war. While the valor of the Vietnamese is laudatory, both China and the USA had and continue to have the ability to totally destroy any meaningful level of civilization in Vietnam, then take it as a territory, if that were their goal.

@paranoid1377 You are correct China doesn't want war, if they can get what they want by other means, as they did in Tibet.

Are you even aware of the AGM-88G now being manufactured in the USA? What would your assessment be if all the radar of Chinese medium range missile systems that threaten US carriers violently disassembled because of missiles launched by stealth aircraft outside of the range of SAM systems? Air dominance over the Chinese mainland, not just over Taiwan is my guess.

@ballshippin3809 False comparison

@santhoshbalakrishnan920 Establishing air dominance over China has nothing to do with the number of microwave ovens the respective combatants manufacture, it has everything to do with the ability to destroy (easily destroy) SAM and medium range missile radar whenever it is foolish enough to turn on, and simultaneously intercept and destroy missiles deployed against US satellites and knock down opposing orbital assets. The USAs new AGMs range is classified but we know it is in excess of 160 miles, probably closer to 200, is able to be carried internally by stealth fighters, let alone bombers, and is able to be launched outside of the range of SAM units by aircraft such as the F15 and then have a target designated by F35s that are closer to the action. I suggest you explore Peter Zeihan's geopolitical assessment of China's future in order to reorganize your hierarchy of priorities regarding such a possible future conflict. China is now frozen out of any purchase of high end semiconductors, which are oh so useful in developing high end weapons systems, and they are quite incapable of designing or manufacturing them themselves. They are no longer even able to buy the machines that are capable of making them. . . . Re-access bro. And if the USA ever really gets it security tightened where will China go to steal weapons tech? What China doesn't realize is they would still be eating tree bark if not for the west opening up investments and intellectual property exports to China. They are have forgotten what's what in the face of believing their own bullshit, and allowing an isolated out of touch man to determine the course of the billions.

@nutyyyy With the US Navies new extended range air air launched anti radar missile, that is able to be carried internally on F-35 I would say the risk for China has increased exponentially.

Referring to Taiwan as "China's turncoat province" is just stupid. I know you know better so it's not ignorance, it's stupidity.

@JoSh-op6gu I would hardly say that that China's punitive action at the end of the Viet Nam war was a major conflict. Their conquest of the entire Tibetan Plateau was a major move, if not a real war.

@joerogue231 Your question proves one thing: you are a bear of little brain.

@jnkimuhu lol, sure pal, the Russians are proving that in Ukraine right now. They know how to steal and rape, and murder and have no idea about how to use combined arms to advance or win.

@DYFortescue Not to mention the fact that most of the people in Hawaii and near all in Alaska love the USA and have no inclination to be separate.
