  1.  @lauderdale77  Very graphic images you give here. More people are killed with hammers than rifles. More people are killed with fists than rifles. Most firearms used in crimes are handguns. Most people killed by firearms have committed suicide. How about the tens of thousands of children's bodies ripped apart by automobile accidents. Should we ban autos or ask you to suck off your car exhaust because you own one? The headlines are huge, the news is captious. And the truth is that if some nut decides to kill innocent people he will find a way, either by running a truck into a crowd or poisoning a reservoir or just tossing a lite cig out the car window in California. The second amendment is there to protect the populace from the government. But it is the dramatic headlines that capture the minds of the nation, while we spend billions to protect ourselves at airports, none of the systems has ever passed a test were firearms or bombs were smuggled onto a plane as a test. People are afraid of the wrong things. The hot fudge sundae is more dangerous to Americans than terrorists in reality, because there is a far greater chance that the average American will die because of their shitty diet then a terrorist bomb or some nut with an AK.

  2. Everybody (even politicians) knows what's wrong with the political system and have for over fifty years and nothing has been done to change things. The lynch pin of all that is wrong with the USA is campaign finance. All private money must be out of politics entirely. No funds of any kind from the private sector to politicians ever without jail time. What is now "business as usual" was not so long ago criminal activity. All campaign contributions are bribes, all PACs are anti-American. America is now owned by a few families, that is why you have such problems. All billionaires are inherently evil because no one makes and keeps that much money without being a scumbag. Think about it this way. If I gave you a dollar every second for twenty four hours a day it would take about two weeks for me to give you a million dollars. It would take about thirty two years to give you a billion dollars at the same rate. It would take 31,700 years to give you a trillion dollars. When our republic was founded severe restrictions were put upon the establishment of corporations. They had to be for the benefit of the pubic and they were only licensed to operate for thirty years at a time. We are now seeing the reason for this. The founding fathers knew that if wealth concentrated like it had in the hands of the royals and bankers of Europe it would be the end of the power of the people in our democratic constitutional republic. By the way the only real democracy on earth is Switzerland, a place with lots of firearms in civilian hands and no mass shootings. A place where heroin addicts are give drugs in a clinical setting which has no drug lords or junkies ripping off everything that isn't nailed down to support their habits. But we decided to do the same things that don't work over and over. We are idiots.

Yeah but the reason people leading their "normal lives" is so difficult has everything to do with the one percent and the Trumps that make them even richer and more powerful having stolen part of your money by methods you do not understand that take place in private in back rooms between themselves and their cronies.
