  2. There it is: Bernie assumes people are reasonably intelligent, Pete assumes people are stupid and he can benefit by exploiting stupid knee-jerk reactions. Of course the shameless corporate news venues only exist at all because many people have no choice but cable. But even some of the old Fox addicts who use it for human companionship are beginning to realize just how tortured and contrived is the paradigm that contains the few facts they report.
