Winner! Stupid comment of the day award. June 11 -- 2020. Also winner of the "How to confuse symbols with reality award". One way to tell if someone or some organization is dim witted is if they consider any symbol to be of more significance than that which it symbolizes. A perfect example of this, is the kind of stupidity that wants to charge people with a crime for burning the American Flag. Which law was proposed by an elected idiot and was thought a good idea by masses of Americans whose primary method of dealing with life is to be a reactionary dunce. It must once again be made a shameful act to display ill-considered ignorance and stupidity as if they are something that should not be flagged for what they actually are. I know one thing for sure. You are too stupid and or disinformed to understand or agree with the preceding statement. By the way, when I was a young man, it was illegal to wear a shirt made out of the flag, or to use the flag as anything really other than a flag. I believe they actually attempted to charge Abbey Hoffman with some crime for it. Obviously this has changed and the flag is now a big money maker in clothing design and coffee cups and such. You are lost in a false reality of misconstrued conceptions. If you had anything to say or two brain cells to rub together their would be some hope for you. The simple truth about power: Power should never be entrusted to anyone who seeks it. We knew this all the way back in the golden age of the Athenian hegemony. This includes everyone: both the golden boy of the right-wing nuts, and the wanna-be populists who take a mike at a protest. Power should never be entrusted to anyone who seeks it: for any reason. Power should only be given to a person who doesn't want it and has been found to be the best person for the job. This is why we should turn from our psuedo-republic, which is really a plutocratic kleptocracy to a neoconfusian meritocracy where all positions of power are temporarily held by those found most adequate by means of testing and virtual scenarios devised by scientists and voted on by the populace. The populace would not vote for people but for the various tests devised to select the office holders. I am aware of the objections some would have to this but they are nothing that cannot be resolved by technical means, such as the top scorers being tested further in secure conditions. These tests would be mandatory for every citizen at regular intervals, and whoever scores highest would assume the position they tested for during the next regular government upgrade. This would be superior in every respect to the plutocratic kleptocracy we are now enslaved by. And all forms of cheating could be easily overcome by technical means.
