Rich people mainly do not owe taxes because they do not sell their assets and investments, but hold them, they then take out low interest loans to support their lavish lifestyles. No taxes are due on investments until they are sold. Why sell stocks when they are going up 17% per year and they can get sweetheart low interest loans for 4% or less?
