Due to perceived threat to the possibility of firearm acquisition, people who never would have otherwise considered such a purchase will once again rush to purchase firearms for fear of a future prohibition, and sporting enthusiasts, and militia types, will stock up even more than they already have. Improbable outcome: Love and sanity wins out, and people who really need defense against unlawful aggression are provided with truly effective non-lethal means of defending themselves, and hunting firearms are restricted to rational limitations.
