I know what you mean, but history indicates that this is the norm. The power elite, no matter of which stripe have only one goal, to hang onto and if possible increase their power. All else is window dressing.

Same as all other countries except maybe Iceland.

Russo, and China. See Defense updates and The Caspian Report. They are not just threatening the military they are threatening the USA in it's entirety. As the recent hacking and espionage moves indicate. But we could really do a much better job with less money spent on military. China's neighbors are praying that the USA does not abandon it's policy of containment, but the rise of China's military is an inevitable result of it's economic power and the communist parties policy of insuring stability in a less then stable reality, by promoting nationalism as the road to stability. If the west, including Australia, resist Chinese moves toward hegemony, future major conflicts are inevitable. If the west withdraws entirely, it will only be a matter of time before the most important man in North America is the Chinese ambassador to the USA.

They are all corrupt. If not Bernie would be president.

If you are gonna swtich to green energy you NEED litihium mines somewhere, and Nevada is he best place for Tesla. America needs domestic lthium mines to insure continual uninterrupted domestic production safe from geopolitical and natural interruptions. Much better than driving ICVs.

So should they not start mining lithium in Nevada? If so, how will Tesla build all those environmentally friendly electric vehicles?

Well you could look at your phone or computer. It's right there all the time. Have a look.

I kinda agree, however DN is also spun. They also depend heavily on conformation bias to keep and attract viewers. The Real News Network, is also ok. Outside of science, and even they fail at times, there is no real objective news. That includes DN. My favorites are Chomsky and Hedges, however prepare to be depressed by Hedges and minimally inspired by the way forward that Chomsky promotes.

@davidagonburg490 I have seen it on some cable channels while visiting friends. But other than that only on the net. NPR is not what it use to be since the Koch money came in.

@BenGrem917 Well put and I agree, but you should also know that the first response that I made to your reply was deleted by Democracy Now (censored) because it pointed out their pet cause, about which they will brook no truth, or facts. Any statement about this issue is censored and it doesn't matter how many times you post it. So yeah they are great, but they are biased and enact heavy censorship, and I am not talking about foul language. I am talking about their pet cause.

@Marcus Olofzon Basically -- yes, but there are exceptions. For instance much of the blood in the DRC could be blamed on Nordic cell phone manufacturing. However they have done a better than average job of turning this around, but they stonewalled at first. Also much of the economic downturn for average Americans could strangely enough be traced to Swedish economic policies. However I would still rather live there than anywhere else on earth, it I could. But I can't, have too many dependent on me right now. Regards.
