  1. Yes, but one of the most egregious aspects of what is going on is that all the data is kept. Then if they ever have a reason to care about you, they can review your entire life, probably for half a decade already and see what they can use against you or use to manipulate you. But all in all, I am much less concerned about the CIA and believe most security personnel are motivated by high ideals, though at times their practices go astray. If I were Donald Trump I would be worried about them, they crashed the US economy to get rid of Carter when he downsized the agency and they will find a way to get rid of him too. And good riddance.
