  1. They will probably take their revenge against IS and possibly try to get the people who ordered the bombings. Unfortunately the odds are 9 to 1 that they will kill or wound innocent civilians even if they do get someone responsible. The US will not care if the Taliban forbids such an action on it's territory because the Taliban has agreed not to allow any marshaling of terrorist forces in Afghanistan. The Taliban has little to worry about at least initially, being surrounded on all sides by Islamic countries except on one increasingly significant boarder they have with China. In the long run the Taliban would do best if it could further legitimize itself and find ways to further exploit any tenuous relationship with the USA. I would presume that any military revenge action will be presented as a joint action of the Taliban and US special operations. Obviously the USA does not restict itself in such cases. This should be readily evident by the raid that killed Binladin. It took place in a town in the very heart of the Pakistani military establishment.
