I know most who watch DN will not see it this way, but this migrant issue is a losing issue for the Democrats. The voters who decided the last election do not give a damn about this. In fact they mostly wish the conditions would be worse in order to dissuade them from coming. You must understand that, and therefore your are working for four more years of Trump.

And just how did the various Native American tribes treat each other? I bet you don't really know. Here's a hint: continual war, torture, and cannibalism -- they only lacked the means to wipe out their enemies or they would have done it. You are believing a dream of a people who lived in harmony with the earth and each other. A people who never existed. Just look at the record ot the extinctions that took place as the first Asians migrated to the new world. This does not even get into the cannibalism and ritual sacrifice that was rampant in the more organized native cultures. Give up the Hollywood fantasies and find the facts.

@noonebusiness2442 All of human history confirms what I wrote. People are the same everywhere. The psychopaths gain power in all cultures -- eventually. Everywhere on earth the so -called indigenous peoples were subsumed by more warlike and technologically advanced cultures unless they did the aggression on their neighbor... All else is just dreams, like your belief in a god that is out-there somewhere. Your ideas about native cultures are a dream born of ignorance. They took delight in torturing captures foes to death. The women and children loved to participate in this. Learn some real history and your fantasy idea of native cultures will go the way of the hideous Aztec civilization.

On G Washington's firs t military assignment to scout the French fort near Pittsburg, he and his men, which included natives who were at war with the French and the tribes they allied with, came upon a detachment of French troops who were camped for the night. Washington was unable to stop the native war chief from splitting the skull of a bound Frenchman and washing his hands in his brains. Typical behavior. Your deflection to the practices of the Norse is meaningless. That's what Republcans do when their ills are pointed out to them. But Clinton . . . as if that makes their own shit not stink. You are wrong about the culture you are defending. The native tribes in NA were continually at war with each other. This is the norm for people everywhere who do not have the ability to totally dominate others. The only times that humanity had significant times of peace is when one power was so overwhelming that no one could resist it. EXcept for the Mongols who would just kill everyone anyway.
